OOOOhhh have I got a treat for YOU guys!

Spicy peach margaritas.

Cha-cha-cha!

Just in time for spring/summer/poolside/beach days.

The Skinny Confidential x Skinnygirl.

I’m super excited about this recipe because it’s definitely a summery staple.

Plus it’s like, the easiest thing ever.

It’s made with Skinnygirl® White Peach Margarita ready serve, so the recipe takes like one second.

I feel like Skinnygirl® Cocktails got into a room & said ‘hey what’s every woman’s dream?’ And they were all “white peach ready serve margaritas in a pretty, girly bottle, duh.”

So presenting SPICY WHITE PEACH MARGARITAS:

1/2 cup Skinnygirl® White Peach Margarita Mix
2 splashes lemonade
1/2 cup sparkling water
Raspberries, mashed
A couple dashes of cayenne
Ice

Directions: shake all mixture (besides the sparkling water— don’t ever shake sparkling water, it will explode!!) together in a martini shaker. Pour over ice. Add sparkling water on top & add a couple of pinches of cayenne. For an added touch, mash raspberries & put on top. Option to squeeze extra lemon (Meyer lemon is life). Enjoy!

Two things: 1.) if you’re looking for summer bar cart ideas, check out this post AND 2.) FYI: TSC Bombshell Body Guide contains cocktail recipes…so ya, you can keep it skinny & have a little fun too.

Anyway, obsessed with this recipe because while you’re sipping, you’re kinda, sorta burning calories. Because HELLO CAYENNE PEPPER!!

Cayenne pepper & lemon is a dream team. Plus you don’t have to feel guilty because the Skinnygirl® White Peach Margarita Mix is superrrr low on sugar/calories/carbs.

A no-guilt cocktail for summer 2015? I’M IN, DUH!!!

Cheers! x, Lauryn

How To: Style A Badass Mimosa/Candy Bar

The Skinny Confidential talks diet and fitness.

OOOOOOOHHHHHH YESSSSSS, you read right: A MIMOSA/CANDY BAR.

YES. YES. YES.

Think: candy x herbs x music x berries x champagne x fresh juice x cute table decor x Kombucha.

::crying with happiness::

But in all seriousness— is there really a need for anything else?

The Skinny Confidential talks diet and fitness.

Ok so a few weekends ago I set up this little bar for my friend Jackie’s bridal shower  ( remember her hilarious bachelorette party? ). We set up the bar so people could come up & quickly grab a sex kitten drink + a bag of candy. Oh so, girly-girly, right?

I decided to add gummies ( CHAMPAGNE GUMMIES TO BE EXACT. YES. I KNOW. DIE ) to each champagne glass. Also, for a fun/flirty feel we added pomegranate seeds to a couple of flutes & then just regular colorful balls to the rest of them.

I have a hard time coming to terms with the fact that I couldn’t eat the whole table of candy.

Here’s a quick peek at our day:

Tips on setting up your own at-home MIMOSA/CANDY BAR:

1.} Utilize canisters: hey, hey Home Goods. I went and bought vases & glass canister-ish thingies. Fill them with candy/berries/herbs & you’re golden. Key is to keep them see through so everyone can see the pretty colors. I LOVE this set.

2.} Have fresh juice on display: I used Suja Juice because it’s just amazing in every way. My favorite is actually the Green Supreme. I mean who doesn’t want to feel healthy when they’re sipping bubbly? Hands? Thought so.

3.} Pick a smart champagne: yessss there’s such a thing!! Bon Affair has a low cal sparkling wine. Suchhhhhh a win. Plus they were featured on Shark Tank & you guys know how I feel about Shark Tank ( MARK CUBAN is a HOTTIE …MEOWWWW!! ).

4.} And of course, don’t forget the candy!! Sugarfina sent us the most amazing candy! CHAMPAGNE GUMMIES ( brut AND rosé to be exact ), champagne bubbles ( << OMG ), mini butterflies, peach Bellini candies, and last but NOT least: super sour colorful hearts ( my fav! ). Again, add gummies to champagne flutes. So, so fun to add candy to champagne glasses! Plus it’s pretty. If you want to add candy around the table, opt for lip candies because a bridal shower is all about love!

5.} Kombucha!!! Kombucha x champagne is SO amazing…everyone loves a little probiotics in their bubbly!! Check out this tutorial & get buzzing.

6.} Herbs & berries: so, so into herbs lately. I added mint, rosemary, & basil to this champagne bar. BTW, I definitely had a basil, strawberry Suja Spark mimosa ( with a couple of champagne gummies ).

7.} Supply clear candy bags: for guests to take home a little sumthing, sumthing, have clear bags with little, cute silver ties avail so people can grab some candy on their way out.

8.} Music/champagne scented candles/table cloth/flowers: you guys know the drill.

Will update you guys when Jackie has her wedding in April too! I’ve never been maid of honor in a wedding so I’m sure it’ll be reallll fun.

In other news- I just learned how to use Snapchat…apparently I’ve been on private, that’s why you guys couldn’t see anything ( clearly so hip & with it…lol ). Ok so, it’s fixed now. So if you want a raw/real/unfiltered peek into my day to day, follow me on Snapchat- username: laurynevarts. For some of you who have been sending me private snaps…you’re the cutest things ever!

MWAH! & cheers, Lauryn x

Strawberry Boozy Sweet Tea <3

Lauryn Evarts of The Skinny Confidential talks tea.

I LOVE TEA.

& lately, for some reason…I’VE BEEN A REAL TEA DRINKER.

My champagne consumption has decreased lately ( needed a little break! ) so I’ve been loading up on the TEA ( basically the holidays have ended & alcohol hasn’t really been around too much ).

Anyway, I’m very, VERY specific about which teas I drink. So when I discovered Celestial Seasonings Strawberry Champagne tea, I nearly fainted.

BECAUSEEEEEE?

Well the reasons are endless: Valentine’s Day is next week…so UH DUH, the perfect tea for V-Day, right?! And it’s champagne (!!!) tea without the guilt. LOVE.

Lauryn Evarts of The Skinny Confidential talks tea.

Oh, & it’s delicious iced OR hot. YUMMM.

Seriously though, this Strawberry Champagne black tea is kinda like a full dessert without the cals.

But let’s get real here: you can’t give me Strawberry Champagne tea & expect me to never actually add the champagne. Since I needed to ‘test’ recipes for Valentine’s Day, I made this quick, easy sweet tea recipe.

Presenting:
♡ The Skinny Confidential’s Pink Sweet Tea ♡

1 strawberry/champagne tea bag
1 cup champagne
1/2 cup strawberries, muddled
Lemon, squeezed
Ice

Directions: grab a glass & add ice and champagne. Add 1-2 tea bags to champagne. Let sit for five minutes. Muddle strawberries with lemon juice. Add to champagne ‘tea’. Remove tea bag. Garnish with lemon. Cheers!

Lauryn Evarts of The Skinny Confidential talks tea.

By the way, if you’re looking for a Valentine’s tea, these teas also come in Red Velvet Rooibos ( YUMMM!! ) & Chocolate Carmel Herbal Tea ( << way to a man’s heart right here ) so add a little Bailey’s to either & thank me later. Plus, they come in super cute, festive containers that are adorable to use all year round ( or for birthdays/holidays/parties, not just V-Day ).

You can find these teas at your local Target ( I LOVVVVE Target, like really it’s the best store EVER ) but hurry – because they’re only available for a limited time!

What’s your favorite, flirty way to spice up V-Day?! Tell, tell.

Cheers! – Lauryn, xx

1.) pop the champagne, duh.

2.) in a martini shaker: add ice, add a shot of vodka, squeeze 1 full grapefruit, & 1/2 lemon.

3.) SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE!

4.) line vintage champagne glasses ( obsessed with these ) with a grapefruit slice & rim with pink sugar.

5.) pour martini shaker mix in to glass.

A Holiday Coconut/Cacao Cocktail <3

The Skinny Confidential shares a Bailey's cocktail.

The Skinny Confidential shares a Bailey's cocktail.

The other day on Instagram I posted a pic of coconut/cacao hot chocolate…( SO freaking yummy ) and you guys asked me for a recipe.

Annnnnd today I’m sharing it…BUT I added Bailey’s ( so sue me ).

First off, I had a full on love affair with this little recipe because it’s that good. I fully just sat alone in my house with Spotify’s Christmas Jazz station on repeat pretending like I was in the depths of winter in Alaska with a blazing fire.

When in reality it’s like, 70 to 75 degrees in San Diego.

The Skinny Confidential shares a Bailey's cocktail.

You should see people here though; they’re in full blown UGG’s with wool scarves, leg warmers, jackets, & North Face vests, acting as if they’re experiencing unlivable conditions like ‘Beyond The Wall’ in “Game of Thrones” exclaiming “can’t you believe this weather? It’s bone-chilling!” All while checking out at the grocery store buying logs & heated blankets.

This is real life in SD right now.

Before we get all dramatic, A.) it’s not cold at all ( I just got back from NYC so I’m feeling pretttttty savvy to what’s cold ) & B.) I’m jealous of places that are cold in winter because I want to drink warm drinks by the fire.

…but I mightttttt be wearing a vest & scarf right now too? So I guess I’m just as guilty?

Ok let’s get to the hot chocolate…with a spin though: cacao nibs & coconut flakes!!  Here’s a quick video tutorial of how to DIY.

Soooo good it hurts. The recipe is seriously the easiest thing in the world:

+ 1 cup coffee

+ 1/2 cup almond milk ( make sure it doesn’t contain this nasty-ass, sicky ingredient )

+ 1 ( or 2 ) shots of Bailey’s

+ Sprinkle coconut flakes or add a few drops of coconut sugar ( it’s a liquid )

+ Sprinkle cacao chips ( sometimes I melt them before I add them )

+ Add a couple of marshmallows because DUH!

( Option: dash of pumpkin pie spice to get super festive-y )

Directions: on a stove heat up coffee and almond milk. Add to a holiday mug. Add Bailey’s. Sprinkle coconut flakes or add coconut sugar. Sprinkle cacao nibs or heat them up for an added touch. Dash on pumpkin pie spice or marshmallows. Cheers! x

Also, I HAVE TO KNOW! WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY COCKTAIL?

Any that I have to try?

Lately I’ve also been love this apple cider whiskey drink; I may or may not be wrapping presents with it this weekend.

Don’t forget to check out TSC: Holiday/NYE Lookbook for last minute gifts.

Enjoy the weekend, Lauryn xx
