Happy Sunday babes! Tonight on ze blog I have YouTube sensation, Sarah Dussault [ check out my interview on her blog too! ]. This fitness guru is a busy, busy bee; she has almost 90k subscribers on her YouTube channel + runs the blog, SarahFit + is a regular expert on Diet.com’s channel. Geez!! Annnnddd she manages to eat right & workout- inspiring, much? Read on, lovaz:
+ Introduce yourself:
Sarah Dussault: I am a fitness loving blogger who originally wanted to be an on air reporter but somehow landed on YouTube. I have always been into athletics & am always looking to challenge myself. My blog, SarahFit, was created to supplement my YouTube channel but now I spend about the same amount of time on both. My YouTube channel, SarahsFabChannel has over 83K subscribers which is crazy for me to think about, but I’m forever grateful that I got in during the early years.
+ Quick skinny tips or tricks?
SD: Avoid starchy carbs and dessert at night. When I do this, I get a better sleep & wake up feeling energetic. I have a sweet tooth post any meal, so this is quite challenging for me to do!
+ Weekly workout schedule?
SD: My weekly workout schedule changes frequently. Last year, I was training for the Urbanathon & incorporated a lot of cardio three times a week & strength training three times a week. These days, I’m doing The Bar Method five days a week and running thirty to forty minutes three days a week. I run five miles on Saturday & usually take Sundays off. A little extreme by my own standards but I’m conducting my own research. I have a month unlimited at The Bar Method & I’m eager to see if it really can change the shape of your legs. I’ve always had strong quads, so I was curious if ditching lunges for ballet movements would have any effect. I’m only two weeks in, so the conclusion is yet to be made!
+ Favorite go-to healthy food?
SD: My favorite go-to healthy food has to be the protein pancake. I have it every morning for breakfast & have yet to get sick of it after an entire year.
+ Cocktail of choice?
SD: I do love a skinny margarita, but when I go the bar I will usually get a glass of Sauvingon Blanc or vodka soda with a splash of pineapple juice & a cherry. I’m like an eight year old when it comes to cherries; I love them in my drinks!
+ Motivation to stay in shape?
SD: My motivation to stay in shape is because I feel my best when I’m working out. When I don’t exercise, I feel tired & depressed. It makes me feel good about how I look. Also, it’s my job to be in shape pretty much. There is something to be said about finishing a challenging race. The overflow of endorphins & excitement is just overwhelming. Finishing a strong race with a great time is one of the best feelings.
+ Quick, easy recipe?
SD: My favorite quick recipe is my salsa chicken. It’s just two ingredients in the crock pot. I guess that disqualifies it as a quick, but it is easy & makes for quick dinners if you remember to put it on in the morning.
+ Fav beauty product?
SD: My favorite beauty product is by Philosophy and is actually a cleanser called ‘Purity‘. It’s the only cleanser that keeps my skin clear!
+ Natural beauty remedy?
SD: I love how relaxing putting cucumbers on your eyes can feel. I get puffy eyes when I sleep with a fan on. If I have to film that day, I make it a point to relax for ten minutes with two slices on my face.
